EnBro’s old website dating back to 2012 was showing its age. As a major 600+ strong walking group it wasn’t getting much of an online presence against a great number of competing groups.

The Anerley Bicycle Club is one of Britain’s oldest cycling clubs having been founded in 1881. It also has one of the oldest websites dating back to 2005. The website was unsurprisingly showing signs of age having been twice refreshed

We thought 25th anniversary should bring something new. Hence Sydenham.info became se26 launched as a new domain se26.org.uk on November 14th.

The new organiser with only weeks to go to get this year’s orders in. This included ordering and payment online. We got a completely new webdesign up and running within a week

We have switched to ‘Uptime-Kuma’ which is run on our own dedicated server. This has an easier and more resilient reporting system.

We are pleased to announce our return to social media with an account on Mastodon at social.brainsys.com.

Today we replaced our old status page with a visually more informative one based on the open source Upptime Github project

This is the fourth generation of our website. The beginning was very different. Tim Berners-Lee had defined html but there was no ‘Dummies” guide to building a website. No google to ask. Nobody to do it for you. Netscape beta

Our new webmail service is now much easier to use on tablets and smartphones. Roundcube’s new responsive theme Elastic is now available Roundcube is the leading open webmail client and is used to power BrainMail – our own hosted webmail
